The Valley Trophy won this year by Stonyhurst Ladies is an annual competition between the ladies teams of Stonyhurst, Clitheroe, Whalley & Longridge. This year the event was held at Whalley with the Stonyhurst score being 128 followed by 117 and two scores of 116, so a comprehensive victory for Stonyhurst. The ladies who took part were Sheila Parman, Joyce Kenyon, Veronica Middlehurst, Lady Captain Judy Kitching, Margaret Carrington, Mandy Bottomley & Sandra Crossley.

The ladies of Stonyhurst have had quite a successful year so far, Laura Cannon & Veronica Middlehurst played in the area final of the "Coronation Foursomes" at Bradford Golf Club coming joint 3rd out of 48 teams.

Janice Bufton & Jan Walker played in the "Australian Spoons" final at York Golf Club and came 2nd out of 40 teams.

The ladies bronze team finished 2nd behind Darwen in the league, the other teams included Colne, Whalley, & Pleasington.

Laura Cannon & Joyce Kenyon are through to the 7th and final round of the "Daily Mail Foursomes" Good luck to them when they play at Hooten near Ellesmere Port.
